Jaguar has revealed a specially commissioned XJ concept car to commemorate the brand's 75th anniversary.
The XJ75 Platinum Concept was unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance this weekend, and is intended to demonstrate the customization potential of the luxury saloon.
The car gets a contrasting black and white colour scheme, as well as new front, rear and side sills. The look is finished by bespoke 22-inch alloy wheels. The theme continues inside, with the black leather interior complemented by pearlescent white air vents, veneers and suede inserts in the seats and headliner. The center console houses a bespoke clock designed by British watchmaker, Bremont. The XJ175's power comes courtesy of Jaguar's 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine.
"From a pure design perspective, the XJ75 Platinum Concept is foremost about emphasizing the striking proportion and presence of the new XJ, with a distilled black and white theme, which conjures up the sense of precious platinum," said Jaguar XJ chief designer Giles Taylor.
"The XJ75 Platinum Concept is a design exercise that shows our vision of customization as an inspiration for those enthusiasts who have a taste for strong individuality and visual confidence in their luxury automobiles."
